Alpha Delta Pi
President- Zoe Valentine
Alpha Delta Pi, the first secret society for women, was founded in 1851 on the principles of sisterhood, leadership, scholarship, and service. Our chapter, comprised of more than one hundred amazing young women, is known for our involved leaders who participate on Class Council, Colonial Cabinet, First Ladies, Alternative Breaks, Order of the Omega, and various sports teams and clubs.
Dedicated to philanthropy, our sisters raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities every year through two annual philanthropy events. During the fall, ADPi hosts Diamond Heist, a fun weeklong competition for the fraternities, which raised $15,000 last year. In the spring, fraternities compete in our annual volleyball tournament, Lion’s Share Challenge. Sisters also regularly go to the D.C. Ronald McDonald House where they serve dinners and meet the visiting families. ADPi sisters enjoy supporting other fraternity and sorority philanthropies on campus and always look forward to Greek Week. Our open motto, “We Live For Each Other,” is exemplified in our sisterhood. ADPi loves spending time together during events throughout the year. Crush and date parties, semi-formal in the fall, Black Diamond Formal in the spring, and Sunday brunches at the house are just a few of many favorite events we host throughout the year. Alpha Delta Pi’s sisterhood starts at GW, but continues after graduation through alumnae connection and lifelong friendship.
